Franz Marc was a German painter and one of the leaders of the German expressionism movement. His most famous painting is probably the blue horse, which he painted in 1911. He loved painting animals of all kinds and his style became more and more abstract the older he got. He painted the Abstract Forms II at the age of 34, but sadly he died two years later.
