Fashion designer Guido Maria Kretschmer designs stylish and elegant wallpapers for his collections. The designs are reminiscent of ancient royalty, splendour and wealth. These magnificent designer wallpapers transform any living room into a royal hall.
Detailed decorations and glossy effects provide the right flair. Some models are even decorated with glass beads that shine like diamonds in the light. The designer's creativity doesn't stop there – another highlight is the wallpapers with a shiny mirror foil that illuminates the rooms, creating even more shine.
The colour palette revolves around metallic shades such as gold, silver and copper. The soft cream tones go perfectly with these. The black accents further enhance the effect. Not only are the patterns very high quality and exquisite, but so are the materials used to make the wallpaper. They are very stable and well made. What's more, they are easy to apply to the walls.

Designer Guido Maria Kretschmer

Most Germans know designer Guido Maria Kretschmer from television. He has appeared on numerous programmes as a juror, including ‘Das perfekte Model’ and ‘Shopping Queen’. The latter in particular made him famous throughout the country.
Guido Maria Kretschmer was born on 11 May 1965 in Münster. He began his career as a designer in a rather atypical way. After dropping out of medical school, he was drawn to the dream island of Ibiza in Spain.
There he sold his first self-made garments at a well-known market. The German musician Udo Lindenberg discovered his small stand and was thrilled. He ordered garments for his tour, including brocade jackets.
In 1987, he launched the company GMK by pepper, after receiving his first awards as a designer. The company was based in Palma and Münster. Initially, Kretschmer designed garments for other large companies.
One of his most important commissions came from the well-known airline Hapag-Lloyd. Other major clients included Deutsche Telekom and the Maritim Hotel, which ordered suits from him. After the more practical designs, the designer decided to turn more to haute couture and founded the label ‘Guido Maria Couture’ in 2004. Kretschmer showed the first evening dresses in Tokyo and Shanghai. This was an important career step, as he was now able to express himself more creatively. His passion for glamorous design was clearly evident. He was able to experiment more freely with fabrics and colours.

Gradually, the designer began to expand his creativity into other areas. In addition to fashion, he discovered other areas such as interior design, jewellery and fragrances. Somehow, he thought, a great many things can be designed. He once again joined forces with other large corporations and designed jewellery for Christ, glasses for Edel-Optics and a large furniture collection for Otto. The collection with Otto was a particular success.
In between, Kretschmer worked on his television career. An important milestone in his work as a presenter was the programme Shopping Queen in 2012. This was followed by Supertalent in 2013 and Germany's Most Beautiful Woman in 2015.
Kretschmer's calm, pleasant manner and his ability to understand women endeared him to a large audience. In 2018, he married his long-term partner Frank Mutters.

Geometric braided patterns: The shiny braided pattern gives your walls a soft glow. Geometric shapes calm the mind and create clarity and boundaries. The shine is very subtle, but visually enhances the white wallpaper.
Design wallpapers with wave patterns: Wave patterns are very organic. Their flowing form has a positive effect on the body and promotes a sense of well-being. They look particularly good in the dining room.
Kretschmer flower and blossom wallpaper collections: Floral motifs are particularly suitable for romantics. They bring a sense of joie de vivre and vibrancy into your own four walls. The Kretschmer flowers are not colourful, but in very soft, pastel shades. These shades look very elegant.
Wallpaper with leaves: they look almost a little tropical. The abstract leaves satisfy the yearning for nature. These patterns are great for all nature and plant lovers. They can also be used as accent wallpaper.
Black wallpaper: A black accent wall is a real eye-catcher. It automatically draws all the attention to itself. With this look, it is important that the furniture is very light, preferably white. Otherwise, the ambience can quickly appear too dark.
Dark grey wallpaper: This is less contrasting than black wallpaper, but still looks very good. This wallpaper should also only be used sparingly. One dark wall is enough to show off your furniture perfectly.
Mandala pattern: regular, circular patterns are popular in many styles. These round patterns look very gentle and are still varied. They are perfect for anyone who wants a detailed wall. A good place for this wallpaper would be the wall behind a bed.
Guido Maria Kretschmer GMK deluxe gold wallpaper: This wallpaper could also be on the wall of a castle or ballroom. The golden baroque pattern looks very opulent and regal. This wallpaper is ideal for the living room or bedroom.

Verdict: The Kretschmer wallpaper collections are very elegant, chic and sometimes even glamorous. They are of very high quality and well made. With Guido Maria Kretschmer, you can bring a decorative design wallpaper into your home.
