Oliver Robins is an Amsterdam-based artist duo consisting of Claire and Hans-Erik. Claire is an underwater photographer and adventurous traveler. Hans-Erik is an industrial product designer. Both have creative streaks, imagination and inventiveness. Claire and Hans-Erik got the inspiration for their paintings from the antique murals in old castles and colonial mansions. They found it interesting that a single painting in large format can have such an imposing appearance without being overpowering. They adopted this concept for their works and created a combination of botanical drawings and old paintings from the 17th to 19th centuries. The Dutch duo found that the motifs with a relaxing effect fit particularly well in the children's room. With illustrations of inspiring forests, wild jungles and exciting underwater worlds, they allow children to immerse themselves in a unique fantasy world and dream.
