'The Kiss' is considered to be Gustav Klimt's most popular painting. The Austrian painter created it between 1908 and 1909 during the so called 'Golden Area'. The picture apparently shows Klimt and his partner Emilie Flöge, although it has never been proven. The original is in the Austrian Gallery Belvedere and it is said to be a masterpiece of the early modern period.
