Step by step guide:

1. Clean: thoroughly degrease and smooth the surface, important for kitchen fronts, doors and shelves.
2. Cut to size: cut furniture film with a 2 to 3 cm overlap; with wood effects, pay attention to the grain direction.
3. Position: peel back a small section of the backing paper, lay the film down bit by bit and align carefully.
4. Squeegee: smooth out from the centre to the edges without bubbles, ideally with a squeegee or a soft cloth.
5. Finish: trim the excess, warm the edges slightly so the adhesive film fits perfectly.
